SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION
A definition of Self-Catering – A Self Catering property is your ‘home away from home’. It usually offers guests a sole occupancy unit consisting of one or more bedrooms or suites and a dining area with cooking facilities. Self Catering accommodation styles include Apartments, Holiday Units, Houses, Cottages, Chalets, Villas and Cabins. Limited service optional.
Although this type of accommodation is typically more value for money, don’t be fooled into thinking this is cheap holiday accommodation. Self Catering extends to 5 star quality and pricing.
Some questions to ask when booking Self Catering Accommodation are do they have towels and linen (most do but there are exceptions). Are there shops and other amenities close by? Is the accommodation serviced and to what extent? All self catering accommodation establishments have rules and it is always a good idea to find out what they are before making the booking. Take note of the location and what shopping centers or convenience stores are closeby, just because it says Self catering does not mean you can’t eat out everyday.
